The dark blue one looks more like a TD5,, is that right?

You should be carrying a suitable jack - in which case jack up the back of the vehicle and fill in the holes. If necessary unload.
Truck drivers across the nullarbor and other tracks used to get bogged all the time before bitumen. Usual practice was just to camp beside the vehicle until the ground dried out enough to keep going.
Early 1948 Model - no holes for tow attachment in centre of rear chassis crossmember, no rope loops on tailgate or rear corner cappings, angle rib in centre of tailgate..................and very interesting also in that it has an obvious glossy finish paint. The usual interpretation of the paint was that is was semi-gloss or semi-matt.
