Hello again,
I thought your earlier hint of an offer had been overlooked.
Anyway, goes to show that things can be achieved if you want to them to badly enough.
Over to Dan....
Cheers,
Neil

I'm hoping an S3ute comes to you before May, Neil. :)
let me know if you need tie down gear or the like....
could you also measure the wheel track, becuase I just realised something I forgot.
my small trailer fits a suzuki sierra on it and matilda i dont think is much bigger.
what I dont have readily to hand is the overall dimensions of a series 1 shorty.
if it fits on the green trailer you can take that if you need.
No worries Dave - once the rain stops I'll measure her up. Thanks for your offers too. And congrats also - well picked up, Mr. A. Wrinckle! :)
Well, it's a nice thought for sure, but also more than likely wishful thinking at this late stage.
I am about to head off interstate next week for a litttle while and thence back to the Dark Continent for about three weeks in mid-April. Not complaining there mind you, because my diary suggests an Easter of idle beast-musing back in Hwange NP in not entirely unbearable living conditions.
All the better to creating the appropriate ambience for pondering over the nuances of series Land Rover renovation versus restoration. Most of the beaters are enthusiasts for the black oval brand.
Also, for getting in serious training for Coolatai ("nuvver cupla middies there luv and a pack of Nobbies").... Doesn't quite translate with "a couple of Zambezis and biltong there young Sheba" but the gestures, arm positions and other actions are fairly similar.
Cheers,
Neil
