    Matilda - Series 1 engine removal...

    Well we turned up and spanner-ed, we drank beer, soft drinks and had a terrific BBQ

    OH and pulled the engine out of Matilda

    and yes it didn't happen without



















    Seems the clutch plate was put in the wrong way around a long time ago well before scallops bought it...see the scoring of bolts in the pics

    Still have NFI what the hell was used on the inlet manifold.

    what was attacking the crankshaft bolts?

    the driven plate in back to front or?

    of course If I had the manual for one of those engines......

    hit it with the hammer... anything that breaks needed replacing anyway.

    I'd just like to say, and thank at the same time, everyone involved today....it's kind of weird to drive a perfectly workable vehicle you love to a shed and then pull the thing apart.....


    So searching eBay for the blown V8 as we speak...all whilst trying to find the poll concerning how long all this will take!

    SLOW rocks....but I already knew that.

    Yep - I know I'm due to drop over for a few thousand years worth of sanding ...had to do (am still doing) house work at home today ...am planning on slotting in a Sunday to come to yours soon.
