Hello again from Sherwood.

Better late than never - but I did go to Woodford back in August to check out the old bits of kit that these antique machinery rallies throw up. Just never got around to submitting a report - again, blamed squarely on the Photobucket hijack that until recently had thrown a spanner in the works photo-wise.

Anyway, it was a little smaller in its scope than the Allora and Oakey bashes with which I am more familiar. But, on the whole, well worth attending. Unlike Allora which is largely dominated by vintage tractors and trucks, or Oakey which was primarily old engines, there was more of a balance between tractors, cars and engines.

Here are a few snaps to give a flavour of the day....

Starting with the obligatory mobile steam engine:

Then old machinery:

But just the one four wheel drive:

On the whole the Woodfordians put on a pretty good show - and the burger that I had for lunch was also quite acceptable.

Cheers,

Neil
