    Another project "Binatang"

Things have been a bit slow on SLOw so I thought I would post up another project.
It been a while since the Royal Review so I am putting a 200TDI into an 88"
I have had for some time.
Jon," Venture Overland" was doing this but seems to have dropped off. I was interested to see how he went as like him I am keeping the LT77 behind the 200TDI instead of the series gearbox I put in Jumbuck the 80"
Years back I bought the Disco engine and box and a Defender engine and box so I have to swap the Defender box onto the Disco engine as it has the shorter bellhousing.
Its been done with 107" cars but I am concerned it may not allow the T.box to be removed in a shorty.
    We will see.

If you are not trying to mate the (200) TDi to a series box, have you thought about fitting a 300 instead or is it "fit what ya got"

    Wild thing

    Keith,

Is it a passing coincidence or aptly named intent to call your project "Binatang" - Bahasa Indonesian word for "wild animal"?

Not to be confused with "Bintang" - "star" or a well known souvenir t-shirt embellishment.

    Cheers,

    Neil

However the 300 with the turbo would fit better, if anyone wants to swap
The defender turbo is too high, and the disco sits out to far.

Ha, thats interesting. Did not know that one.
As John said, mine is the way more diminutive "tok pisin" version.

    Well, I have a problem.
A few days ago I turned on the computer and it opened with windows 10 installed. I had been ignoring the prompting but it decided to do it by itself.
It told me I could get 8 reinstalled but it would take some time so I went with it.
I am slowly sorting it out but after loading photos , the process of reducing them eludes me. With 8 I could reduce the pixel count to 800 x 600 before posting but I cant find how to do that just now on 10.
    Any hints?

    Keith,

I had much the same problem a little while back.

It may be possible to sort it out from within Windows, but the resident propeller heads here put me on to Web Resizer - downloadable for free:

Web Resizer - Making Photos Faster - Optimize pictures for websites and email

Works really well for what I need when sending photos to folks with limited mailbox capacity etc.

    Cheers,

    Neil

They did the same to me , intalled windows 10 with out asking . Then it turned off & locked my apps so had to take laptop to computor shop & pay to get it sorted. Then with my desk top my printer wasn,t compatable with 10 so ended up buying new desk top & printer. 4 months on still trying to get used to doing things different to windows 8
This is all too much for us old fellows
