Yeah I find it strange, I had mine broken into quite a lot when I had street parking. Don't really understand why... Old looking vehicle equals easy to steal maybe? I also thought that maybe they just walk around trying all the locks with a screwdriver and see which ones will open. They would usually just throw stuff around presumably looking for money. My ignition only bares works with the key still as they gave that a go a few times too. Never had it fully stolen though.
Thats good news, sounds like someone just needed transport.
