I remember seeing an add in an English magazine for an item that fits onto the clutch line and unless the power is activated to it it will block the use of the clutch leaving the vehicle with clutch disengaged, It could also be used on the brakes, although i think there maybe some legal issues but it blocks the brakes on. Does anyone know of where i can get a hold of such an item?

    Just extra precaution

I haven’t heard of it but the pedal lock combined with a gear stick lock would do the same thing.

    'ardcase pedal lock

X Defend Gear Stick Lock R380 for Land Rover Defender

The thing to bear in mind is the winch on a tilt tray truck will easily drag a Land Rover regardless.

Yes it would, and nothing will be 110% effective, but these little items are installed in the hydraulic line and are actuated by pressure, and are "always on" unless you supply power to them to turn them off. Its just a thing that makes life that little bit harder.

Many many years ago I used to know of a bloke who worked for a "company" they stole high end cars on order for parts. Winch them up into the back of a enclosed semi, drive around and in 8 hours it was a pile of parts, he said the enclosed metal trailer kept most of the noise from the alarm inside till they stopped that, but they didn't have GPS tracking in those days.
