That's unfortunate, I hope you get positive info.
Could it be a scrappie on the prowl ?
There have been times they would take anything that didn't have a number plate on it.
Probably chopped by now but my wifes son rang up last night for her birthday and mentioned his 92 200 TDI had been knocked off from outside a friends place near Nundah.
He has been doing part time work there commuting from the Sunny Coast during Uni vacation. His clutch crapped out, probably the lever , so he left it there till he worked out what to do.
Its the typical old blue one with a dinged drivers door and A pillar.
Its not drivable so they would have to have used a tilt tray. Police have been notified but as it wont drive goodness knows what will happen to it.
This is a few days back now but someone might have seen something.

Thanks mods for moving this. I clean forgot there was a stolen goods area.
Yes the car had been there about a week but was registered with plates and he had just put a new radiator in it.
He was trying to get RACQ to help him get it up here.
Have you checked with the local council?

Yes, checked with council as he thought it could have been towed away.
Police did a door knock for camera footage but no luck.

Was that a 'Police aware' sticker?
His Mother just talked to him. Yes it was his car with the sticker. He had talked with the council explaining why it was there for a few days as he had to go back to the Sunshine coast Uni for exams and could he leave it there till he finished. They said it was OK as it was in a legal car park spot.
He then organised a Tow truck from the SS coast to pick it up on a back trip but when the Towie got there it was gone.
He rang the Council again and they said someone had complained about it as being abandoned or unregistered so they put the sticker on it without referring to the owner or whoever in the council he had previously talked too..
I guess a scrappie cruising around saw the yellow sticker and picked it up.
So be it
If it was legally parked and registered they can't just tow it on a whim. I would definitely be following it up with the council.
