This sounds like it.
Just one more thing. Is there a way to cut a hole in the cargo area without having to remove the fuel tank ?
There are some instructions posted on here with exact dimensions of where to cut etc. I'll see if I can dig them up....

This thread is a good step by step how to, but I think in this case, even though it doesn't sound a difficult job I'm going to get my trusted mechanic to do it and maybe put a long range tank at the same time.Quote:

One that caught my attention, mentions the problems with the pump being related to other issues rather then the pump itself, that eventually causes the pump to fail. One of the issues mentioned is improper fuel additives witch brings me to the following question:
What's everyones opinion on fuel additives ?
Is there a particular fuel additive that's proven better ?
I agree (in theory) that by keeping the fuel system as clean as possible helps the vehicle run efficiently.

Does it make a difference ? I don't have a baseline to compare it to, but doesn't seem to have caused any issues, and I have had 1st hand experience of algae growth in diesel fuel systems .... cheaper to dose up as a preventative measure.

I can't draw a comparison because it's the only one I used as well. It seemed reasonably priced and claimed the same as others out there.
That's why I'd like to know if there is anyone with sound knowledge on this.
