    chasie rail senser

I was putting on my new rock sliders on this morning and soon came to a holt, there is a senser on the chasie rail behind the drivers side front wheel, it is just pop rivited to it, and it is in the way of my sliders mount, if it is for the sls my car no longer runs the air bags. What is this senser for and can i remove it. Now that im thinking about it naybe its for the a.c.e.

    Thanks,
    Jason.

Ok just a recap its not the chasie rail its to the body where the sliders bolt on, when i disconnected the senser the sls light comes on, so my question now is can i relocate the senser 2 inches further down the body or can it be disabled somewhere?

    Thanks,
    Jason.

I think that might be the lower ACE g-sensor. My sliders mounting was cut to go around it.

Yep, definitely one of the 2 the ACE sensors - not advisable to relocate it. The rivets are made of a very tough material and standard drills won't budge them.

    Best do as Slunnie advises.

I saw that on my mates Disco2. We were putting his Disco1 sliders on his Disco2. He cut a notch out of the slider mount to suit. I think it was just the driver's side?
