    SRS Light intermittent problem

    Hi all
The estate vehicle (TD5 Series 2) has the SRS light coming on after start up and stays on until motor is turned off. Other times it is not a problem, it doesnt come on at all. I gave the front end a good shake a couple of months ago with a big roo . Any ideas what may be causing the fault?

    Thanx

Most common SRS faults with D2's seem to be seatbelt pretensioner connections under seats. Try disconnecting and reconnecting after a quick spray with CO contact cleaner. DO NOT do this with ignition switched on, as it will engender a fault code that could then require clearing with a computer.
There are other possibilities, some have been caused by intermittent connections behind glovebox etc to passenger side airbag, and even through the rotary coupling behind the steering wheel and all its associated connections/ plugs.
