Wrangler MTR question.
I need to replace my second spare on the Puma (staked). A new General Grabber TR is going to set me back well over $500 - possibly over $600 - as I'd have to get it shipped in specially.
As the other 4 tyres are now a little over 50% worn I'm starting to think some new boots may be a better option in the long term. I'm running Goodyear Wrangle Silent Armour on the Kamper and these seem very good. I was thinking of either [Goodyear Wrangle]:
- MTR's (LT235/85R16 120Q)
- Silent Armours (LT235/85R16 120R)
- DuraTrac (LT235/85R16 120/116Q)
All are load/speed rated sufficiently for the Puma and I suspect the DuraTrac's will be the noisiest of the three, but was wondering if anyone can tell me what the new Kevlar MTR's are like.
How noisy are they?
How do they wear?
What are they like in sand?
Does the tread chip much?
I'm thinking I might go the Silent Armours but might still opt for the MTR's
