Rover V8 advance maps

Slug Burner , when building Straight LPG engines , to make them very streetable you need Good vacuum for idle and just off idle , so these engines idle as sweet as any normal standard engines . CAM was a 233@50 even split 106 LCS solid In that particular run was running a crappy 750Holley ULP 98 mech secondaries and it was being choked (1 inHG at 5000RPM)
Went on to make 439FWHP @6200 RPM. Produces just over 400HP on Straight LPG by the Moroso ruler . (spot on the old 10% rule ) In a statesman weighing in at 4325lb , 13.8 @101 MPH.
Not bad for an early headed old 308/355 stroker on Straight LPG fumigated system.

As I understand it the percentage is a percentage change to the load signal. So for example, if running with 0-5V load output, and the MAF or TPS input of the interceptor is set for 0-5V, then if the given load signal is 3V, and you have applied a 4% increase to that point in the map, it will add 4% of 3V which is an extra 0.12V so you get 3.12V output.

Your fooling the ECU into thinking it's at a higher load then is given, so more fuel is injected.

The Tornado (mark adams) chip from RPi does make changes to injector duty cycle and will add further benefits.
Once I have this installed I will only be using the fuel map to smooth out A/F ratios if needed after certain modifications.

PhilipA (and Grimace) I missed this thread. I have attached my modified Advance Curve (No Vac/No Load). As you can see advance is "all in" at 31° by 3,000 RPM.

I secured a 10% -15% increase in torque and power ( 85KW max) with this curve in an already well (but OEM) tuned and maintained but original setup (a D1 3.9 low comp).

I made this mod 3 years ago and recently checked it /tried improving it on the dyno including using a GEMS 20AM MAF / revised /matching fuel map and couldn’t.

For those who want to check their own timing …think about changing their ignition curve etc you need one of these bits of kit ….LOL….. Message - AULRO Classifieds
