Ive got Toyo Open Country M/T 265/75 on my 110, great off road, noisy on. I dont think they will last a lot of klms and I find they are a bitch to balance. I think next time Mickey Thompsons. A friend of mine has a set on his Nisson Poorole and is very happy with them

255/85r16 BFG MT Km/2 on Disco 1 rims, modded with a 20mm offset change (out).
They don't rub at all full lock or articulation (std height 110 county). so far, so good.
$320ea.

I have Mickey Thompson MTZs at the moment, excellent off road, quite good on the black top as well.
I narrowed my choices down to the MTZs or BFG KM2s, went with the Mickeys as BFGs were too hard to source locally here, tyre dealers don't like them apparently, not as much markup lol.
Very happy with my choice, the MTZs have tons of grip.
I stay with the recognised brands myself now, tried some cheap knockoffs years ago on my Patrol and wasnt happy with them, premature wear, chipping etc, they seems to use different/cheaper rubber.

I'm in the market for new boots too. I have 245/75 MTRs that are nearly dead after 80K. After a lot of looking I've narrowed it down to BFG KM2s or MTZ in 265/75 size. I will be getting a 2" lift on my D2 shortly to accommodate 'em :D:)
After 5 yrs I've finally decided to lift the beast!!
cheers

I've recently put a set of 265/75/16 Kumho KL71 tyres on our Disco 2 ($270ea).
They are the first set of M/Ts I've owned so I don't have much to compare to but they seemed to work very well in the one real use they have had (dragging our heavy camper trailer along 10km of hilly, rough and often loose track - all low range).
They aren't too noisy and handle much better on bitumen than I expected.
