For me they just wear off and stop working.
I also use pledge on all my glasses and goggles as a cleaner and anti-fog. Works excellently, I've done it for over 10 years now.

I've heard but not tried it myself that wiping a bit of ordinary Glycerol onto the glass inside stops fogging.

Which sort of Pledge did you use. I found 4 different types, one of which I was a bit scared it "Wooden" work.

I always try to get the Bosch ones, Bosch spend a fortune on research and in turn produce a damn fine blade.

Make sure you get stuff without walnut oil in it. The oil will just smear and make a huge mess.

as does a wipe with a slice of potato;)

then you can fry the spud in hot gear oil and eat it for tea !
