    Angry Bloody slave cylinder

Right, I've just spent half an hour washing the grease off my arms after replacing the clutch slave cylinder in my 200tdi disco. I've stopped swearing and settled down a bit.

Being an idiot I managed to strip the thread on that pipe that connects to the slave. Do I have to now replace the slave again and the pipe?

if you've stripped it in the slave, pretty much, if your very lucky theres a couple of things you can try to get it to go in and seal up starting with a hydraulic thread adaptor that goes from slightly oversize and winding that into the ally then connecting the pipe to that..

even if you have the right helicoils to tap into it you wont have room to drill and tap.

Thanks for replying. I think deep down I knew I was stuffed but didn't want to admit it. I'll get some new parts and try again.
