I have found the issue I think. The transmission sump gasket is half hanging out. Does any one know of a decent gearbox place in Toowoomba?
Cheers

Hi All,
Need some collective advice. Just had a number of things done to the TD5 yesterday at MR Automotive. ECU upgrade, 120k Service, Transmission Cooler upgrade, etc etc. Three pages worth of work. Currently on the way home to Roma and have noticed it is bleeding trans fluid. Underneath the body is covered in fluid.
Still away from home and away from my workshop manuals.
Question 1: Is there any connections I can check to if loose?
Question 2: If there is, where can I find them?
Question 3: Where can I check Transmission fluid level?
All good and well that I could take it back to Redcliffe and get MR to fix but I cant wait till Monday and unsure how much fluid is left.
Thnaks in advance
Cheers

Bet its the Passenger side of the trans near the back where the gasket is poking out...They can be quite difficult to fit if your model has a cat converter (After 2001). You have to lever the exhaust pipe over to slip the trans pan up into place, with the gasket balancing on the pan edges.
Anyway, make sure it isn't driven far until rectified or topped up, the level can be checked, engine idling in neutral by undoing the 8mm hex key plug at the front RHS of the oil pan. Top it up until it flows out. Overfilling it a little is a good idea with these transmissions so I am told by trans builders. hope all works out
