Thread: D2 ACE Torsion bar mounts cracked

I was doing a check under my Disco and found that the torsion bar (sway bar mounts) on the driver's side (2) were cracked. I was looking into a dull knock that I could hear on fast steering inputs, after following some other posts' recommendations suggested that the mount rubbers be replaced. I replaced the mounts on the passenger side as these seemed easiest to do. The knock went away.

Further inspection revealed the crack in the photo - 80% gone. It is pretty hard to see this failure without close inspection. This is a good check to make guys!
