I purchased and installed the TD5 Alive/Alive Tuning MAF sensor today. Haven't actually had a chance to drive the car with it though to see if it helps my problem.
In regards to it, it's a **** fit. It's made out of far cheaper plastic than the genuine unit. It's not made to the exact right size specifications either as it's extremely hard to push into the air filter box lid.
twr7cx,
have you had a chance to test the modified maf?
I have 1 on order, would be good to know if it solved your problem
as I have similar.
Cheers,
paul

Have only driven about 50kms. So far the car has run well and I haven't had any issues. Can't confirm about fuel usage though.
