D3Jon bought one of these and fitted it to the 3.9D 110 now owned by JamesJ. I think the one Jon bought may even have been NOS, not recon. IRC Jon shipped the box and a whole bunch of other spares over with some personal belongings.Quote:

I've finally gotten around to doing this swap. Everything is going well so far, I think... The 4 speed is in place and most things are now bolted up. Just no fluids at this time.
The main issue I have is the handbrake. As I have used an LT95 from a RRC, the handbrake is the mechanical linkage type, while the county has a cable type. Is there anyway to get the handbrake working as is, or do I need to find myself a 110 rear casing and swap it over?
Also, I hate the clutch set-up on not just 110's but most landrovers... So hard to bleed. That's tomorrows job, along with putting the floor back in.
Lastly, I need a vacuum switch to control the diff lock if anyone has a spare floating around.

Those small RR handbrake drums are a bit of a pain. To fit the larger 110 type you need to change the rear output housing, speedo gears and drive flange. The only thing interchangeable is the rear output shaft. All these bits are scarce to find and mighty expensive from LR. L.R. Series in the UK are much cheaper than Aus even with postage cost. Give me a yell if you need help with part numbers. I have a spare vacuum switch in the shed somewhere I think.
