I would urge you people that are interested to buy local.
Davys,Engine Saver although more expensive does both the core temp overheat warning(external) and the low coolant loss alarm.
I have the combined unit on our Defender, have purchased one as a trial for a road roller at work(after evaluation further units should be ordered) and will be upgrading my low coolant sensor to the combined unit in my D2.
Davys units are matched to your Landy, simple quick DIY fit.

What is the after sales service, 24 hour person to person telephone technical support and warranty service on these imported units like?
Are they built in the states or just redistributed from there from an Asian manufacturer?
Will a replacement for a suspect module be in the post the next day after a phone call to the bloke who actually makes them?
Have they been extensively tested here and are they reliable in Aussie conditions & on corrugated roads?
Are the kits specifically tailored to each model Land Rover like the Engine Saver kits are with specially made sensors for each type of engine?
These are all questions to ask before purchasing cheap imported goods.
I have had several oportunities to import & distribute cheap Asian made products here but non meet the quality and reliability standards we set for ourselves, that's why our low coolant alarms are still assembled by hand in Australia so we actually know and control the quality of the components they contain in this ever changing world.
As far as prices go, quality wise I have always believed that you get what you pay for and engine protection systems are the last place to try & save a few dollars.
Our own products are also fully epoxy encapsulated to ruggedise and protect them from corrosion & the vibration experienced in the 4 wheel drive world and without fail all our new products are extensively tested by members of this and other Aussie 4 WD forums before general release.
We are also agents for the Aussie made TM-2 and bulk purchase the base TM-2 to install additional internal circuitry to provide a combined low coolant/digital over temp alarm for those that want them in addition to the analogue combined unit we make ourselves as well as retailing the base TM-2 unit.
And yes I do have a vested interest in this subject having been a site sponsor for several years & give substantial Aulro discount on all our Australian made products.
I also realise this post really belongs on the Verandah, (Sorry Dave, please feel free to move it) however seeing as the OP is in this section I thought it appropriate to post here also, having just been made aware of the thread by a another member.

Just to keep you posted another AULRO member is working on a deal with an Australian supplier which just happens to be his mate :D
The device will have similar functionality, Aussie made and be competitively priced.
With a bit of luck we'll get the details confirmed sometime tomorrow.
Keep us posted Hangover, I'm very interested.
I needed to wait for a something to be sorted out before I posted, OK here it is, (take two).
The unit is a TM2 which will be supplied for the price of $100+$10 postage, $110 delivered, How cool is that !
Why?
Well, its a tried, tested and trusted Australian product with several options which can be added both FREE and for a small cost, (Options must be stipulated at time of order ).
The good news is that the TM2 comes with cables to operate a relay for NOT ADDITIONAL COST, (on request). This was going to cost extra with the previous supplier.
I urge you to check out his website for all the information you want/need.
ENGINE WATCHDOG TM2, Engine Temperature Sensor and Low Coolant Alarm
Payment and Ordering methods will be confirmed soon, again at this moment just numbers are required. PM or post in this thread which ever you prefer.
One other thing..........this product is only available to subscribers, which is good news as it helps out AULRO and a subscription starts at only $8 up to $88 depending on the options you choose. So its your chance to grab yourself a cheaper product with better options and support the site that’s helped you out over the years.
Well done Hangover. A good price for an Aussie product.
Thanks for your research and bargaining, and look forward to more info re Payments etc.

On their website they claim that it can be used to moniter auto trans temp.
The device has a max temp reading of 125 degrees celcius. Auto trans run a lot hotter than this.
