Make your own, some 3 inch tubing (exhaust pipe or stainless, take your pick), a bit of welding, black paint and a couple of rubber elbows. One afternoon's job.

howdy, we made up our own in a night, I think using the 3"pipe(mandral bent) is an improvement over the factory made disco snorkels.. heres some pics, if you would like more details im happy to provide

and the finished product painted black and with a cheap air-ram purchased from ebay

Nice job! How was the sphincter factor cutting into that wing panel? The end result looks very tidy. Did you use mig or tig for your welds and did you do the bends yourself?

The hole in the wing is accessible from underneath. So a test hole or two will allow careful planning of the final 80mm hole. The pipe looks like mandrel bent exhaust pipe pieces from an exhaust shop and is MIG welded. TIG welding is for stainless steel, and I have seen some nice s/s snorkels on this forum. IMO matt black painted exhaust pipe is better for something in the corner of your vision.

Bee utey, you are assuming we all have access to either a mig/tig welder and if we did, there is still some skill involved in welding a nice weld with no blowouts etc.
They can look good, thats for sure if home made but if not as handy as you, it could be a complete disaster, just cutting a nice circle in th epanel is a job not for the faint hearted.

I have seen your work and I know you could do it with your eyes shut and come out brilliant, I have seen some home jobs at triumph rover spares in their yard and they look bloody awful.

You could always buy one from LRA . they have an overlap at teh decker panel entry so the hole does not have to be perfect.
And IMHO, they look much better.

I agree if you don't have the tools it can be a bit difficult. If you have a welder and stuff up you can always start again. Exhaust pipe is not expensive. A respectable mig welder is quite affordable if you plan to do more than one job with it. You can also get someone else (eg the exhaust place you bought the pieces from) to weld up the bits after you have cut and marked them for best fit. You really only need one bend at the top for the snorkel head, the others can be silicone hoses from a shop as I said. Snorkel heads sell on ebay all the time. As for the panel hole, I used a 3 inch hole saw and a sharp pair of snips to fine adjust the edges. Easily available from a tool shop. And the pics posted below give you a good idea where the hole has to go.

This is a job a competent handy man can tackle, I wouldn't expect a good job from a politician or journalist say.

Bee utey you have pretty much guessed it, the pipe was purchased from an exhaust shop(2x 45 degree mandrel bends and a straight length) my mate(who owns the Rangie) did the welding as I have had no experience whatsoever, he had 'had a play around' with welding before but he seemed pretty confident, plenty of trial and error and we finally managed to get the welds done.. only to find that we had to cut and re-weld because we had welded the 2 mandrel bends on either end of the straight length in a perfect 'C' shape, we later found that the ends had to be welded on slightly offset from each other.

We used a stick welder(arc?) because that’s all we had available to us.
To finish the job we got a piece of hose, cut it straight down the side and used it as a bit of trim to protect the snorkel from possible vibration against the guard.

The hardest part is making that first cut.
