I have a red Auber for EGT and a VDI 0-30 psi manual boost guage (2"). <$200 for both including sensors.

Which colour is easiest to read during day light. I don't really care which colour the display is, I just want the best one to read in bright conditions.

Or using the standard probe, you could tap it directly into the manifold where the 5 ports become 1.

More accurate temp display than fitting through your EGR blanking plate.

SPA make good gear but it's aimed straight at the race/rally car market, (good quality, reliable, able to take vibration) hence the price.

Thanks mate, I have also found em in the UK a bit cheaper than in the states, they are certainly a bit dearer but would be a much neater instillation and probably more suited to our conditions out here.

Both are easy to read in daylight unless the sun is shining directly onto the face. Mine are mounted in the center, one above the other, on a face that is approx 60 degrees. The top one is always in shade and is easy to see.

my gauge is blue so it matches the blue lit gauges in my disco:)

Not sure if the OP was specifically after digital gauges, but I found this ISSPRO dual gauge in my travels.

G'day all, just a quick update, I ended up getting the SPA dual boost/EGT gauge, it was not overly cheap but it is very good quality. The connectors and fitting are all of an aircraft standard.

It took the best part of a day to get it all fitted but now that it is, it works a treat. It is a shame I didn't fit them years ago and it might have saved me an engine rebuild. After seeing how high the EGT gets whilst towing I now would consider an EGT monitor a must to anyone who has chipped their vehicle.

Towing a trailer through the mountains was not an issue but trying to maintain 100kph into a strong head wind with a large trailer with a big surface area on it was easily pushing the EGT up 800 deg when going up inclines, before I would have kept pushing on not knowing the real temp inside the engine, but now you just back off a bit to keep the EGT in check. I have the warning light set to 750 and it works a treat, as does the high boost warning light which I have set at 23psi.

I will post some photos of it later, it also looks nice in the dash where the clock use to be.
