    transfer case for rrc

ok im not shaw if this is in the right place,

I've got a 91 rrc 3.9 with a borg warner tf case. i dont like it!
Second thing all the drive gears in the zf decided to stop working last night (only thing working is park).

So my question is what transfer case do i replace it with?
I can get a complete gearbox and transfer case out of a 95 disco.
Will this fit straight in or do i need different prop shafts?

yes 1995 d1 trans assembly is straight bolt in, but you will need the front shaft, rear is OK.

hey i need a bit more advise ive got the 95 trans and front drive shaft. but the new transfer box seems to have alot more plugs?
    whats needed and whats not?
also it seems to be unable to select anything transfer box wise while sitting on the ground does it need so be spun?
or is there an electric cut out stopping me putting it into hi-low-lock?

There's a shaft in the transfer box (it fits into the viscous coupling) with a output spline that has probably let go. This is a common "worn out" fault with this transfer case.

The BW case is very smooth and quiet when in good condtion and is usually very reliable. Poor long term maintenance generally shoots them very dead. Check out the Ashcroft Transmission website for advice and FAQs.

    Good luck with the transplant.

and.. the plugs (I assume electricial) are for the diff lock warning light on the front output casing and oil over temperature idiot light on the main casing.
