Is it possible to cut the pipe and shroud so that there is a decent overlap... If so you could do a reinforced gluing/mastic/silicon join by pop riveting the parts, not forgetting to use washers on either end of the rivet to spread the pull...

The fan blower shroud i have got to cut a section out but the air duct on the passenger side has got to have about a 50mm section put in to extend it. I am not to concerned about how the air duct look inside as it wont be seen but wanted the fan blower to look standard without looking too dodgy. I have plenty of soldering irons and a bosch hot air gun so will try with some of the plastic bits i have all ready cut off.Quote:

Thanks folks.
try Quicksteel Plastic repair from Supercheap its about $12 for a tube of 2 pack putty. Cut the length you require, kneed together and apply like using plastercine. Sets rock hard in an hour. you can even tap it for bolts if needed.
I have used if for all kinds of stuff from repairing kids toys to a bumper. Used it to fix a $150 air-intake pipe that went over the top of an engine so its OK with reasonably high temps. It goes a bit yellow after a while but you can paint it.
I always keep a tube of Quicksteel, plastic repair and steel repair in the toolbox.
