    movement on my transfer case out put flange

    hello i have a 200 tdi defender and the out put flange of the transfer case to the front axle has some movement. there isn't allot yet but i would rather sort it out.

    i am wondering how to adjust that out? is it hard to do and what will i need to do it cheers.

    Hi I would expect 2mm of movement of the flange even with a new bearing, the problem is not so much the bearing but the design is such that the front output shaft being very short 'pivots' about the bearing. We did try fitting double row ball brg, this involves cutting a new circlip groove, but TBH there was little or no improvement. Regards Ian Ashcroft
