Unhappy Please help!!! No power after 2nd gear (Td5 Defender 110 2006)

    Hi,
For the past few months I have a problem with accelerating and its becoming very hard when entering the highway. Mostly after 2nd gear when I push the gas, it takes about 20 seconds to accelerate and settle after 1 min until I reach the 5th gear about 100kmh and still I fill the car has no power like before. Please help!

before you do that unplug the maf and take it for a drive. it will run defualt maf readings from the ecu.

does it blow a lot of smoke when you get the loss of power?

    maybe look at the egr?

Or try cleaning the existing one with the pressure pack MAF cleaner (cheaper than a new MAF sensor) available from most auto accessory outlets. Not a bad idea to give them a regular clean as part of regular servicing - only takes a couple of minutes.
