I have to for the third time remove the gear box and work on the clutch or in this repair more the fork and thrust bearing. Due to this being a joining of a 4bb1 and a Lt95 ? 4spd it is not a good fit up at all. To get the clutch any where near the the thrust bearing a second 30mm plate has been fitted to the fly wheel. This was still not enough and a longer tube was made for the thrust bearing to mount on. Would like to remove the spacer and have the clutch mounted back on the fly wheel. The set up as it is now is not well balanced and the rear main soon leaks. But fitting the clutch back on to the fly wheel would mean making a new shorter bell housing. Doable but a lot of work. Could try and work out, when the clutch is mounted on the fly wheel, if the gear box spline will be long enough to pass through the clutch plate. If so I could then make a new longer mount for the throw out bearing to slide on. A lot easier to do. Also going to fit a spring to pull the thrust bearing away from the clutch bearing so it won`t rattle. Much the same as most other clutches. Would like to be doing this with some sort of 5 spd but the mule has sucked the cash out of me for some time.
