Removed my front right bud flap as it has a huge tear in... Bugger
Today I realized that I CAN'T put 10-spline CV inners into 24-spline CV outers (should have done my research) I was hoping to convert the stub axle assembly of my diff to 24 spline so that I could use my nice new HD drive flanges I bought to match the rear Maxidrive ...I realized this AFTER I installed new bearings into my spare 24-spline compatible stub axles. :(
meh' oh well. the good thing is that when I pulled one of the axles out of my disco I found that my drivers side CV was completely buggered. thankfully I have spares. Better to find this stuff out in the yard rather than on the side of the road.
...also now I have 4 spare abs compatible 24-spline CVs but im sure someone will want to buy them off me. ;)
(ps. reason I have 10-spline front axle configuration in the 98 disco in the first place is because I couldn't turn down a complete range rover diff with air locker and MD axles for $500 at the time :p )
Bought a deep cycle battery, put it on the charger. Dropped off County to mechanic to get a gremlin sorted before a ferry trip to Tassie next weekend. In an unrelated inident, for some reason I couldn't get it to fire in the Bunnings car park until I opened the bonnet, had a stern word with it and closed it. The engine stop is a bit gummed up and wasn't returning properly. At least it isn't a critical failure part!
Changed the diff oils, took it for a run to the recycling joint (tip) and got rid of 20 litres of waste oils.

D1 tdi new brake pads at all corners, bleed brakes, new oil cooler pipes, rocker over gasket, steering shocky, air filter and total degrease of a greasy block!
Yay! :)
Removed side step and started refitting LR tank.
Replaced leaky oring on PAS pump to reservoir pipe - apparently after 280k they do need replacing.
Water pump. 17,500km beyond the engine rebuild the old pump decided to call time out. Annoying since replacement would have been a breeze at the time.
Fitted work light carling switches to the Mud console
Tapped a heli coil into the input gear support/cover plate on the 230
Fitted the Exbox...Giddyup!
Replaced all plugs on the front indicators and park lights
Swapped in ceramic H4 plugs
Relayed the front headlights off the battery
Ran a heap of wires throughout the dash and into the roof for current and future accessories/mods.
Re-wired all the crap work done by PO's and sparkies working to a budget not a standard.....well this is ongoing actually.
That's a start...heaps to go
burnt through the waste gate actuator hose, blanked it.........
liked that.:)
screwed in the fuel limit screw...
Loved that:D
blew out the Bourdon tube in the 15psi boost gauge :clap2:
going to have to ask SWMBO about borrowing the 30 psi one.
