Finally got around to replacing the bulb behind my climate controls in the D1. took less than 5 mins.
...I don't know why I put up with it for so long!

yeah, it wasn't easy. I grabbed it gently with the pliers (making sure not to squeeze hard enough to crack it) and moved is side to side + in and out and it eventually walked out. The replacement just popped in nice and easy.

I replaced the brake calliper pistons with stainless steel pistons and new seal kits. I have no idea why LR/ Lockheed specified chrome pistons for the Defender.
As soon as the brake pads begin to wear, the chrome piston is exposed to the weather (dirt, sand, salt and all the rest), the chrome flakes off, the piston rusts. Then you go to put new brake pads in, the rusty piston is pushed back into its bore and quickly stuffs the seals, brake fluid then leaks onto your new brake pads, ruining them in the process.
So anyone up for new pads i highly recommend putting in SS pistons!
