I feel that We need a thread that deals entirely with paint and surface preparation.
Lots of information about painting has been offered up on the forum over time, it would be great to have it all collated into one working thread.
When 'Fred' went North yesterday, I did notice a lot of Disco's on the road around the area where we travelled to, all of which seemed to be running well with no sign of any smoky motor syndrome, but a high percentage of those Disco's that were spotted, had spoilt paint work with their Clear coat succumbing to the effects of Tasmania's high levels of ultraviolet sunlight.
A pity as far as could be seen they all had very straight bodies and the paintwork does spoilt what would be an otherwise nice vehicle.
