What did you do on your Landy today?

OCTOBER
Replaced battery cable lugs.
Replaced oil in diffs
Greased tail shafts
Installed low coolant alarm.
Made frame for storage in rear.
Rear storage completed
Rear seats out bed extension completed
Dual battery system installed USI-160 optimax batteries
Baintech 100amp distribution system to engine compartment
Led lights in engine compartment
Extra 20amp Power points in front cabin
Baintech Power distribution system installed in rear.
Installed new brake vacuum pump.
Installed tyredog tyre pressure system
Installed TomTom Via620 GPS
installed Garmin Speedpilot GPS with topographic maps for off-road.

I'll get to drive this thing one day.

I fitted my new roo bar and driving lights. The lights are not yet connected as I have not yet got my relays and switches.

The small lights that are not in the bar is because the DH's at ARB gave me the wrong ones and they don't fit.

My 10,000 lb warn winch also will not fit.:mad:

Got the 90 back on the road today, after
- front and rear axle housings removed, stripped, painted, fully serviced
- rear prop: painted, new ujs
- new radiator
- paint radiator/intercooler frame
- wiring tidy up in engine bay
- steering wheel re-aligned to center
- new steering damper
- jet wash

Off for a long drive, tomorrow - hope nothing falls off! :o

'George' got a wash, a vacuum and $55 of diesel, plus a general checkover, so he's pretty happy. Next week he might get his front wheels balanced again, to try to remove vibrations at 40km/h and 100 km/h.

Fitted an iPod cable onto our D3 as an aux, sounds great!

Upgraded the rear calipers to match the larger piston Fronts upgrade I done a year or so ago.

Did you just use standard fronts and put them in the rear? Have you notice a big improvement?

Hi Franz,

I have a RRC. The standard arrangement is 41mm pistons all round. With Vented front rotors and dual pot calipers up front.
I had already upgraded the front to the larger 46mm defender 110 dual pot calipers. What you see above is me finally doing the 46mm caliper upgrade to the rear.

I have not road test the vehicle since upgrading the rear. But I have had the front done for over a year now and the improvement was/is magnificent.

Note, I had to clearance some areas as the britpart calipers I ordered were pretty ordinary in the quality control department.

The front upgrade was a simple bolt on for all metric (bi-hex 13mm) caliper bolt diffs. You can use them on the imperial housings, but the imperial bolts are slightly thinner then the metric and have been known to work their way loose.
But do remember that the calipers come in different arrangements to suit either vented or solid rotors.

The rear in my application required some bootyfab and a small spacer placed between the caliper and the housing.

I am about to strip a 3.5 v8 and regasket it then pulling my motor out stripping it deciding which to put back together and refit woohoo
