Yeah, I was always the odd one out, never saw the point in driving through each and every puddle. Always like to sit around with a few beers while they cleaned everything.

Did an oil/filter change.
Tomorrows jobs,,, check and grease her up, re-install the awning, and pack her up.

New fuel regulator TD5.
Fitting 100mm pipe to the roof rack for rods etc.
Made shovel holder brackets to fit my new roof rack. All fitted up nicely. Now have to remove them to paint.
Ran new wiring from the second battery through the firewall and down the back to power a fridge and USBs. During this job I remembered a few truths:
1. Having several screws left over after reassembling something is not a cause for rejoicing about economising.
2. Gloveboxes are much harder to reassemble than to pull apart.
3. Its unwise to forget you reversed the battery while getting at the main earth and decide to test your new wiring by whacking the positive lead on the negative terminal, unless you enjoy fireworks. My burnt finger should only take a couple of weeks to heal.
Good news is, after finally getting it sorted, it all works! Woo hoo! One more job ticked off before we head for the Simpson in September.
