What did you do on your Landy today?

Fixed the rattle at 2300rpm coming from under the D2.
Tightened up the bolt on the vibration damper that holds the two weights together on the back of the transfer case.

This has been bugging me for months. Tried exhaust mounts, muffler heat shield and just about anything that looked like it could be loose.

I'll be a happy camper up Holland Track this weekend!

Fitted some Entreq door sills to tidy up the pretty rough way the mats are finished

I dont believe Entreq do any Disco stuff I am afraid

Well this afternoon after work, with help from the good wife, I moved the Series 1 that I'm currently rebuilding

Went to look at a '52 80" today, made an offer :)

If I get it, want to leave outside "as is" - A pre-"loved" look :)

Dinty, if you are repainting the outside of that one, hope you are using nitro-cellulose (Duco). [ at least clear coating with "eggshell" flattened finish. ] So many restorations of anything that I see these days stuff them up by using modern 'gloss' paint. The cars never glistened the way modern cars do. Duco just doesn't. (Well lots of thin coats and chamois hand buffing between a la Rollers. :)

3 out of the 4 new tires i put on the car got punctures on the desert trip. I only had two spares so spent the evening breaking the beads and repairing the tubes.

Which was a big shock to me as i thought they would have all been tubeless, not a mix like they are.
