Just got it regoed couple days ago. Runs great now after overhauling the brakes. Just replaced a leaking rhf brake hose yesterday and repaired acflat tyre this morning. Seems i picked up a bit of drill swarf when i fitted the near new tyres to the rims and it punctured the tube in a couple places. Not too bad considering the time its been sitting b4 i bought it. :D:D

PO had glued carpet all over the floors and firewall which I removed when I first looked at it to check for rust. Was so good I bought it...lol
Had radiator repaired and cleaned. Runs at 72?c and 80?c when 4wding in low. Front x member has been knotched to accomodate radiator moved forward.
Fitted new brake light switch today old one was a bit intermittant :D

Good tidy and straight example of a Series 3 Rod. Have you got it up for sale or was that pic from when you purchased it?

Yeah its up for sale now mick. (pm sent). need to fund the rebuild of my disc braked 2a. will start a thread when I find my motivation...any one seen it anywhere:cool::cool:

I finally fitted a glove box into the puma dash and then took the trayless 101 for a sneak around the block to put it in my shed for major chassis repairs, without the tray on the back I had to put the difflock in just to get up the footpath! still cant wipe the grin off of my face!

Yesterday I removed the spare wheel carrier and cleaned a greased all the pins. I then removed all the door hinges a replaced the brass balls and greased them. Then reassembled and reset the door. I've been meaning to do it for ages but it's like new now. So smooth and light!

About to go and attempt to repair the small amount of damage after Skippy decided he wanted to Tango with the rear quarter panel...

I am well into the process of restoring my Massey Ferguson 203 Backhoe and had to raid one of my Land Rover collection donors for a 1/4" bolt and that Series 2a only had all 1/4" BSF, not the UNF I needed for the Tractor.

Then came a bout of head scratching over a grease nipple. Did you know that there is a metric thread that close, it will nearly screw completely down in a 1/4" UNF threaded hole? with another look at this I found that there are some other threads if you don't watch out they will cause you real grief.

1/4" UNF has 28 Threads per inch .
1/4" BSF has 27 Threads per inch .
1/4" NPT has 18 Threads per inch .
1/4" BSp has 19 Threads per inch .
