Installed an Engine Saver alarm last night. Fantastic service from David at Engine Saver. Ordered it in Friday morning and it arrived Monday.

Now if I could only find out where my coolant is leaking from I could drive without one eye monitoring the warning light. The leak is about 0.5 liters every 250km. No sign of an external leak.

I replaced the filler cap a couple of weeks ago but still not change. I'm avoiding the temptation to give it a dose of chemiweld or stop leak. The search goes on..

Started painting up the second hand winch bar I bought, and pulled the driver's door apart to try and replace the central locking actuator.

The wiring on the old one was melted, so that as soon as the fuse was replaced and the lock activated, it just blew the fuse again.

    Fitted the roof rack yesterday.
Many thanks to the late Simon from LSD for making sure that it was in fact a G4 rack (most other suppliers tried to pass off different racks as G4 racks). Simon's knowledge ensured I got what I was after. Then the lovely Sarah ensured everything was sorted after the most heartbreaking event in her life occurred. She is a legend.
Anyway fitted and looks the part, now on to the trailing arms when I get a chance. Then to order solar panel to suit.
    Some pics.

I started replacing the 3 coolant hoses that mate up to the thermostat on my Td5 Disco. This is the thread where I am hoping for some helpful advice on what has so far been the most annoying task I've done on the vehicle...well, actually the 2nd most annoying as I've still got another coolant leak that hasn't been fixed 100%. One day...one day I'll be able to drive it without being paranoid about seeing red coolant peeing out all over the road somewhere miles from home.

    Fitted Cranked Trailing Arms

Fitted the Bearmach cranked trailing arms today. Look in the pics and you will see the difference in size and how bent the old one was. Explains why the tyres were wearing unevenly.
Fitting was pretty straight forward, the only thing to be aware of is the bushes are about 2mm wider than the existing mounting bracket, so I ground off a couple of mm off the bracket. I also used Lanolin spray to help them slide in.
    Also changed rear diff oil.
Replaced front brake pads as the others I fitted about 3 months ago as the ones I did fit were way too noisy, though they did brake ok.

Bottom original arm is supposed to be straight, not bent.

Gave a couple of Finnish backpackers a lift out of town to where they could camp while they are hitchhiking to Adelaide. They froze in Blue Mountains last night and got sunburnt today.

Sorry...mis-read the thread I thought it was "what did you do IN your Landy today". The actual answer is...cleaned the windscreen.
