And if it persists you can always resort to the thrashing technique.

Fitted new door cards to my 82 2 door RRC. Looks good. Today I will try and fit passenger side tread plate. Unfortunately the little plastic bits to screw in are missing. Will try and bodge something!
Started prepping the t/case for the Maxi gears, grinding out the bosses and webs to clear the new bull gear. Thoroughly washed it and made a tool to hold the drive flanges.
Changed the engine oil and filter in the D4,now it is out of warranty i can do what i want with it:)
Changed the rear shocks with one of my brothers (another LR tragic) on his D1.
Nut was stripped on the top of one, what a PITA that was to get off.
Then got the old Stihl150L out and cut up a heap of firewood.
'Daisy' needed a oil change, grease and filter. After filling the oil light went out in less than three seconds not bad I suppose for 582,000 kilometres.
Got hooked into some suspension work! Had these things hanging around far too long until they went in. Only took two hours, been sitting around for two months...
Just did the oil pump bolt today (didn't need to as previous owner was conscientious and it had the factory one with yellow thread lock on it) so cleaned it up and locktited it and put it back, at least now I know its done. Just hope the hour it took me to get sump back on and torqued up doesn't leak because of landrovers 20 minute limit to get it together after putting the 3 spots of sealant on.
I cant believe that the bellhousing to sump bolts are only 13nm torque, I had a 1/2 inch breaker bar on them to undo them..
1 down and tomorrow its the tranny oil and filter change and then tackle the ace ram replacement.
Got my new canvas top for my 2a today. Bought it of fleabay. Turns out its an ex military canvas top to suit 2a with arrows stenciled on the sides. Has some soiling on it from sitting in the PO's shed for a long time. Can tell its never been used or fitted. Great quality too, not like the thinish canvas top I got of fleabay for my no.5 trailer. Very very happy :D:D:D.
Cheers Rod
