It's a common problem, but very easy/cheap to fix. The new plug just pushes in.

Exactly what offtrack said. The link is what I used to do the job. Common? I haven't had mine long enough to know.

There was a very little bit of oil leaking out of the front and rear.

They were $25 from Opposite Lock, Rockdale. Everybody else wanted between $50-$150.

The front was a snap to get out. The rear, I had to use a long screwdriver, long enough to tap off from under the car (as you can see from the image). Mine was silicone, superglued, puttied, if not almost welded to the head. Once out, they just pushed in.

I donated my entire bank balance to save an unreliable heap of sh*t P38 worth a fraction of the cost that somehow keeps me under some witchcraft mind control; without such control I'd be able to do the wise thing and dump it for a Toyota.

I then lay out a Union Jack, knelt on it and in a trance like state cut open all my veins and sacrificed whats left of my mind, body and soul to the P38 god in return for at least 3 months cost free motoring.

    No exaggeration...

Yes it has more juice but i was overtaking while on a long incline, never needed to do it before and was quite suprised how much more revs it pulled.

Installed a Parana duel battery tray and Optima Yellow top battery in the Puma. If any of you are thinking about doing the same thing….forget it……. It’s a genuine pain in the ass job. Nothing fits as its supposed too and the one hour fitting time they claim in the instructions is grossly under estimated. Still in the end I’m chuffed that it’s all in and done properly. Next project!!!!!

I put a new clutch and fork in the disco (200tdi).
All the old bits that come out still looked good,
But with 276000km on it and driving to townsvill
from NE Vic for christmas did not want to take the
chance on the pivot post going through the fork
    halfway.
So now i con look forward to another 276000 happy km.
