Well I got stuck into the 2a chassis today. Ground off couple unneccesary brackets, welded where I slipped with angle grinder cutting disc yesterday. Cut tiny rust patch out of rear x member. Found about 2kgs built up dirt inside rh front bulkhead outrigger. Looks like the chassis has had a major repair in the past. The out rigger has a big gap between it and the chassis in front facing the dirt thrown up by the front wheel. Will clean up the metal and put some sort of sealer in the gap. Too big to weld tho I could put a filler rod in there I spose. Then the worst job...removing the rear spring bushes from the chassis and then both rear springs. Arm a bit sore from weilding 2lb ball pein hammer and 3/4 impact socket and bashing extension. Job done till tomorrow when I try to fit the new bushes.
Cheers Rod

Fitted Mulgo seat bars, now can recline and a little higher, Mulgo door extenders, now rears open to 90 degrees. Even easier throwing the kids in.
Mowed around them [emoji3]. But last night I swapped the UHF from the D1 to the D2....Attachment 99552
