Chunks were so big I had to break them up to get them out. They smelled and felt a little oily. Maybe someone in the distant past had poured old oil into the chassis to protect from rust. Prob why the chassis is in such good nik. Anyway I proceeded to hose the chassis out. I reckon I got a few kilos of dirt and muck out of it, including a few old wasp nests. With the weather here in Adelaide co operating atm the chassis should be dried out by now so ready to be wire brushed and painted by the week end....I hope. Gotta weld the holes that i cut closed. Then work out how to coat the inside with fishoil and hopefully preserve it for a few more years. Would love to galvanise it but can no longer afford it. Ok now to get to it I spose.
Cheers Rod
