Todays effort so far, ground back welds, drilled and trial fitted fuel tank mount plates for 2 x 16 gal tanks. Will weld into place a bit later. Not sure what to do about l/h rear shocky mount being a bit worn on one side. Will weld spring hangers where bolts were left loose and bushes were worn out on both l/h front mounts. Front hole is elongated a bit. Will prob weld it a bit then use die grinder to clean it out a bit.
This is easier to post pics with my phone than with my tablet.

Giving my car some well deserved looooove ;-)
Fluid swap complete. Interestingly, when I drained the old fluid into an ice cream container, it basically filled a 2L container yet when I transferred it into the old 2L milk containers we take oil to the tip in, it only filled maybe 1.5ish litres...
Odd....
Anyway, it's much smoother and quieter to drive now, so for $20 worth of oil it's a worthwhile job, will definitely be checking that oil every service.
Don't ask me about my thrust washers though

Ok this arvo i welded the fuel tank mount plates to the bulkhead outriggers. Welded up the spring hangers and left rear shocky mount. Quick undercoat. Lots of grinding tomorrow me thinks.
