After 1 too many bends in the defers drag link (stump in long grass)I ordered an APT link and bash plate. Fitted them up this arvo, very slick Old girls like a rat with a gold tooth!
Hardest bit of the exercise was getting the old bent 1 off. Was starting to think some elf had been at it with the welder!

Put a coat of paint on the snorkel, it was starting to look a bit average as the sun did it's thing to the paint, now have to look at doing the front and rear bars as the snorkel shows them up, or I could let it fade again and leave well alone next time!

Resealed the 2A fuel tank with PVC solvent after it has had a good cleanout out with molasses.
Hopefully it will be a success.

Made the s3 work a bit harder today...

Fork was a bit bogged right down to the front framework with a car on the forks as well. We pushed the car of the forks and then i pulled the fork out. Was at a 90? angle to the landy to start with. Both my front wheels were spinning as were both rear wheels. Maybe i got lockers and dont know it. Was funny with both front wheels spinning and turning the steering side to side the whole front was moving sideways too. Then i got some traction on the underlying bitumen and with now hot tyres she came out pretty well. 1st gear low range, 186 and nissan cabstar box. Funny seeing an old landy smoking all 4 tyres...looked coooool😎. Now wheres that next burnout comp???😅😅😅

    Been there before
and today I fitted my smoked LED indicators to the bullbar, ordered oil and air filters, and a fpr gasket and o- ring for my next service and when I whip the FPR off to clean the gauze filter.

While using the ball as an attachment point is not really a good idea, it perhaps should be noted that the risks (of serious hurt or damage) from doing so with chain are negligible compared to doing it with a snatch strap or even rope, as the energy stored by the chain is no more than that represented by the weight of the chain lifted off the ground - if the ball comes off, as is certainly possible, it is not going to fly anywhere. The pulling vehicle could suddenly take off, but this is a minor risk compared to the risks with a dynamic snatch.
