Yesterday I replaced the exhaust down pipe on D2 with one of TD5Alive's budget 409 stainless steel units. The old unit was rattling under load and once I had it out it the flex joint was very floppy. The new down pipe has made a nice improvement to level of engine drone when cruising, which was an unexpected benefit.
While the down pipe was out I took the opportunity to replace the Turbo oil drain pipe gasket. I'd noticed a small leak a couple of weeks ago and had slated this for attention. Removing the bolts I discovered that they were finger tight at best. A new gasket and correct torque on the bolts seems to have fixed yet another leak and averted a potential disaster.

Water-blasted the inside of the 15" white spoked wheels I have removed from the S2a ... getting them ready for sale.
Then I degreased and water blasted the engine bay and undercarriage of DeeDee the S2a. I also finally found the idle adjustment for the LPG and finally, after six months of putting up with a very low idle speed, got DeeDee idling nicely on gas.
Apart from that, DeeDee got used in anger in 4WD to conquer my bonfire pile with several trailer loads of general tree droppings from around the place.
I also picked up a Series 1 engine as a parts donor for my S1 project car. It's got a couple of things that will be useful and then it will be junked.
All on the ex-mil...pressure blasted the wings and tub..did more on the firewall..and helped a fellow aulroian solve his tray problems
