Today, finished of brakes pad change, flushed brake fluid. Used Mintex type pads, seem a bit noisy to start with but will see how they bed in.
Long term thinking of slotted rotors and seeing if EBC green pads live up to their rep, but they are expensive.
Downside of today while doing brakes noticed pass side rear trailing arm / lower link is bent.:(
Two weeks ago did an oil change with new filters. This weekend replaced the FPR, MAF sensor and fitted silicone hoses. There were some oil in the old hoses, not much but if you ran your fingers on the inside there would be some resedue on your fingers. Is this normal? The TD5 just ticked over to 180K over the weekend.
Cheers, Jurgens.
Installed rear lamp guards (see 90 110 130 section for pics), replaced cracked switch plate on dash with a stainless steel version....and installed silicone turbo hoses...
Cheers
Andrew
Drove it for the last time [bigsad]
It's off to it's new owner in Cooktown, so I drove it to the transport depot.

Replaced steering damper, brake master cylinder, swapped muds for michy road tyres, full oil change, drives like a sports car :p
Today i've had the steering aligned...the workshop bloke said its a one owner car-only the owner can drive it
Installed an Allard EGR removal kit http://www.egrvalve.co.uk/index.php?...er-td5-egr-kit on the D2 yesterday. The job went very smoothly as I'd had the two hex screws on the exhaust out recently and there was no drama with breakages.
Today's task is to replace the acoustic cover bushes and install a replacement for the missing rear acoustic cover.
Over took all the lower class people in their cars slowing down for the rain puddles lol
I didn't do it today, but I coudn't find this thread the day I did it. I fitted new shocks and springs to my Defender, then went out and bought some 15 x 8 rims and 32" tyres, I fitted them, drove around for a bit including a little bit of off road, then put the 16s back on.
I was going to take more photos of the suspension change, but once my hands got dirty I didn't want to handle the camera.
