Yeah, but since the kids stood on the window switch panel and broke the 4 little screw tabs off I need to finish fixing that and then replace the centre consul (Stand by for tutorial for repairing these). Since, and I really hope it's unrelated, I also have no air from the passenger side inner dash A/c vent (the one on the LHS of the radio).
The handbrake button also started sticking in. The shaft got bent, again by the kids playing with it while it was disconnected. They pulled it up past the ratchet mech and then pushed down without pushing the button and flipped the ratchet lever over. Turns out the black button only pushed on so twist to remove. Check which way it's bent and clip on a set of vice grips and gently bend back. Just inside there's a bush and star clip (like the one that holds the lever end of the auto cable in). This prevents the whole shaft/rod moving when you try to bend it back. Then push the button back on, doesn't need any adhesive.
The rear tailshaft needs the slip joint replaced. Can swap it for the one on the original donut shaft but I'm not paying the quoted $500- for it. Which could be more because even at a drive shaft manufacturer they could not visualise cutting it off and replacing.
