Indicators were not self cancelling, so off with the steering wheel, only to find the plastic ring that engages the cancelling teeth had disintegrated.Replaced it with an alloy part from UK ebay INDICATOR CANCEL RING STC2910 DISCOVERY 1 '95 ON | eBay Whilst the wheel was off, covered it with a leather cover from Mr Steering also on UK ebay.Great result, good looking wheel and self cancelling indicators.

Deprived about 100 spiders of a home.Rangie was covered in cobwebs, and the littles critters were hiding in every nook and cranny. 1/2 hour with the pressure washer had most of them scurrying off. A good dose of Mortein surface spray will hopefully get the rest...

Hi All
All sorts of parts arrived today from the UK.
I can now get into a customers late 2A, fix the hand brake with a seal for the output shaft, new shoes, lining's and expanding mechanism assembly, whilst the rear prop shaft will receive a pair of universal joints.
Fred, my Disco has a new clutch release bearing.
Bus, my flat tray Defender, will be really flash with a full suspension rubber bush kit, ( not poly's this time ), reverse switch, pump for the r380 gearbox, input flange kit and overhaul kit for salisbury diff. I can now do up my spare Salisbury and install the ARB air locker now.
Dropped into Graham to see how he is going with his D2 '04 project, he has the new front ( thanks Eric ) on already and is welding it in place, ( he rang tonight and said he has finished the welding.).
Must catch up with the 'Tassie in a tent' people and try and nail down a date for the BBQ.
made up a new wiring harness to power my three new HID hellas on the disco!
ouch! late last night, putting one of those 4wheel garden trolleys things loaded with tools away in the workshop, when I bumped into one of the spare R380 gearboxes, I call this gearbox Justin, as it came via a certain Forum person, not mentioning any names.
The thing was leaning next to me, where I was working earlier and when I bumped it,over it went!
My leg is ok today, but I am sporting a stripe of iodine down the graze.
To keep track of all the vehicles and bits and pieces I have about the place, I find it handy to give them names. I suppose naming and numbering things is the Dairy farmer coming out of me, as that is how we used to identify the paddocks and the cows.
.
So far put fuel in it! Got a couple of hrs to rest before we head off to a job in Brisbane, damn I wish the cruise control would work...
Refitted the transfer case extended cover - this time, in the right oriantation.
Image 1 = Bad Zippo

Is there supposed to be a bolt in the bell housing?
Cheers.
Fitted up some Ford thermo fans to my V8 Disco.Havent tried it out on the road yet but once they kicked in at idle for 20 min it cooled down pretty quickly.![]()
