Had the timing belt replaced, was going to do it myself, but decided what the hell - get someone else to do it.

Amongst other thing I have today.
Dragged the remains of a LWB 2A chassis out of the weeds with the MF 165.
'Turkey brain' might be interested in a stub axle off the back end.
Stripped down a Fergy TEA 20 engine to find the the source of the water in the oil was that the wet sleeves were sat down with their copper o rings on rubbish and never sealed properly.
Moved 'Daisy' the D1 for the wife to get into easy in the dark, She is off to work now as a RN at the local Hospital and hates night duty with a vengeance!
Asked the bloke with the TEA Fergy, about some Land Rover parts that his mate was supposed to have, too late as the 80" engine was sent to the scrappy.![]()
.
I finally got around to getting a steel rear bumper bar to replace the plastic fantastic. I no longer need to keep a roll of 100 mph tape on board for running repairs , the lights falling out ! A plan that took 2 years to complete.![]()
Took the front wheel hub off to discover rusty bearings. Any clues as to why water gets in?
cheers Gerald
replaced my brittle rear door handle/plinth, all finished so shut back door and now the bugger will not open!![]()
Dont know what your landy is or if it gets driven through water over hub depth - but when 'things' get hot, if you drive into water thats cold the cooling effect can create enough 'suction' to pull water past seals, especially if they are getting a bit long in the tooth/hard/etc?? Basically, I dont have a clue.......
fuel filter...... The last batch of vege was a bit too rich for it and it was overdue.
Swmbo broke the door latch, the rear door handles gone and the winch solenoid packed it in.
next weekend will probably bring a batch of parts and some new gaugery and wastegate actuator fiddelry.
