Fitted my new CB radio, also removed the old 27meg set, got rid of a bit of red dust in the process.

3 years ago my 1961 SWB Landie blew it's Holden engine to bits, so in my infinite stupidity i thought "while the engine's out, i'll rewire it". All went well but life got in the way and i never finished it. When i was inspired to finish it i had no idea where i got up to so it was 'rip it all out and start over' . Rewiring is done and while waiting to save some money to rebuild an engine i am doing little bits and pieces on it.
Today, i took the front headlight hub apart, pulled the headlight hubs out, derusted it all and got it ready to repaint. Finished repainting the interior of the rear bay, carpeted the floor and carpeted the mezanine floor over the wheel hubs. she is looking good.

Put my fuel tank back in my One Ten after fixing some match-head sized rust/wear holes. I drilled some drain holes in the bash plate and kept sealant to provide a buffer from rubbing but not water catchment.
Fitted an engine saver low coolant alarm to Charlie.
Got it from the forum shop. Bigto incisor. It arrived in double quick time.
Cheers Steve.
Separated my newly purchased defender tf-case + gearbox to get tf-case ready to install into the disco.
...only to find gearbox shaft almost completely stripped and the receiving end in the tf-case just as bad.
If only it had been cross-drilled at some stage in the past, such a pitty to see it go to waste.
looks like i'll be sticking with the 1.2 ratio a little longer...
Technically I started yesterday arv, but today I replaced the injector o-rings and rebuilt the starter motor, turns out it only had two brushes connected, re-soldered the other two, a complete degrease and clean, packed the planetaries and reassembled, as good as new now
Now, what will go wrong next lmao
After 16 years owning me 1995 Defender 130 I got the glow plugs working today.
Turns out that number one glow plug had a short, so I popped in a new one and they all fire up without the new fuse popping.
16 years of no glow plugs and it starts just as quick today. Why I bothered is anyone's guess.
Flushed the intercooler and replaced the hose between the water pump and coolant rail.
Chucked wife and dog in it...
Drove to Marina/Jetty and went for a walk together.
Watches the sun set and drove home.
