Decided i needed to build a no screw phone holder. Built a mock up out of cardboard then seeing as i had some fibre glass and resin left over from a previous project, i though why not just cover the cardboard in fibreglass.
Well it kind of worked. Go a few air bubbled in it, but think it will still work.

The sides of the holder slide in between the side of the vent and the dash - surprisingly stable.

I had a long day of driving yesterday. Byron to Macksville and back to Brisbane to pick up a new set of drawers for the back of my defender. The $100 worth of fuel made it a $200 spend in total! Pretty happy with that! Now just to put the jigsaw back together......

Cruise control
Completed installation that I started months ago, only had one wire too connect. Tested several times and works like a bought one. Already for my trip down to my Perth house with 10 by 5 trailer. Put the Nat Luna 95 in the back and topped up the tank and jerry for the trailer, all set after my last shift.

Replaced the dampers on the Disco on Sat. Out with the old (especially the one with the 10c hole in the bottom of the body) and in with some nice Bilsteins.
The difference is astonishing and I'll not skimp on quality suspension components again!

Disco II maintainance morning
Today was a quick oil and filters day. Quick til trying to get the main oil filter . A td5 with the second battery by the turbo , and I curse myself for not getting the tool for this everytime !Also replaced the expansion tank/fuel cooler hose as it was a bit soft and weeping. A bit of an engine wash next and double check all is tight and good for another while.
