Today was replace the A frame ball joint,
wasn't as difficult as I thought it may be, everything undid OK. Cut the wings off the old one and pressed it out with a 30tonne press, went with a bit of a bang but no struggle.
Fitted the new one with liberal coat of copper slip on all bots etc. The biggest pain was getting things lined up again and getting the long bolts through.
Now to fix the front passenger door lock (again)

Gave my project 91 a face lift.

Changed my front rotors and pads.* The rears to be done soon. Also decided to sign up for a silver subscription to aulro since the forum already saved me way more money than it costs.
*Really I watched my brother do it so I could learn....
Put a baffle on the top 200mm of rad core to get the engine to run a bit warmer![]()
wensday finished the center diff, drove around for the rest of the week, losed drive again, got it home, axel gone.

Found 2 broken studs on the exhaust manifold. Replaced all the studs and nuts. Modified the manifold and reground it flat. Fitted a new gasket. Checked the hidden hose while it was all out.
Also, removed the ABS pump assembly and re soldered a couple of pins inside the unit. Rebled the brake system. The 3 amigos are gone for the moment. Time will tell whether it is permanent.

Thinking of the Expo next weekend, after getting a small load of firewood this morning, washed most of the dust, mud, cow manure, chain oil etc off the 2a. Even took the floor mats out and hosed out the floor.
